하와이 초기 한인 이민자 묘비
미국 하와이 빅아일랜드는 20세기 초 하와이로 이주한 한인 이민자들이 가장 많이 정착한 곳으로,
그들의 무덤과 비석을 통해 100여 년 전 고향을 떠나 이국만리에 정착한 사람들의 삶의 흔적을 엿볼 수 있는 곳이다.
힐로 알라에 공동묘지
힐로 알라에 공동묘지는 1939년에 지어진 초기 이민자들의 공동묘지로 1980년대에 대대적인 정비를 하였고 156명의 한인이 묻혀 있다고 알려져 있었다.
초기 한인 이민자들의 묘지는 빅아일랜드 동쪽 해안가 알라에 공동묘지 중앙에 폭이 좁고 긴 korean section에 위치한다.
